• Working for the passage of favorable laws and opposes legislation that is contrary to the industry's interests.
   
• Maintaining continuing contact with government officials and works to assure that laws and regulations are uniformly administered across the state. In some cases we have gotten the Attorney General to rule on favorable laws that were being unfairly administered on our industry.
   
• Holding an annual meeting to give members a chance to get together and to discuss matters of mutual interest, as well as learn how to improve their operations.
   
• Sponsoring a display of equipment, where operators can meet dozens of vendors and examine the latest in trucks, trailers, optional and service equipment.
   
• Publishing a Directory listing Association members, Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement Offices, Truck Weigh Stations and state administrative officials, along with maps for locations of the rock quarries and asphalt plants.
   
• Publishing updates of legislative developments when the General Assembly is in session.
   
• Publishing a list of bid lettings, showing the name and telephone number of each contractor to whom each job will be awarded to, the county, project number of each job, and price of each job so our members can follow-up after the letting,
   
• And ... the NCDTA helps put members in touch with the right people when problems arise.

Throughout our years in the industry, we have been able to maintain a good working relationship with all legislators and regulatory bodies that govern our industry, as well as open lines of communication with DMV. Our association has earned a lot of respect because of our willingness in trying to do what is right and because of our cooperation in working with other groups as well as with all branches of State Government.

We are the only group that represents the interest of dump truck operators in our State. Working together we can make our voices heard before regulatory bodies that regulate our industry operations on a local, State and Federal level.
