For You, the NCDTA:
1. Opposes legislation that is contrary to the industry's interests and works for the passage of favorable laws
2. Maintains continuing contact with government officials and works to assure that laws and regulations are uniformly administered across the state. In some cases we have gotten the Attorney General to rule on favorable laws that were being unfairly administered on our industry.
3. Holds an annual meeting to give members a chance to get together and to discuss matters of mutual interest, as well as learn how to improve their operations.
4. Sponsors a trade show to meet dozens of vendors and display the latest equipment in trucks, trailers, optional and service equipment.
5. Publishes a Directory listing association members, Department of Motor Vehicles enforcement offices, truck weigh stations and state administrative officials, along with maps for locations of the rock quarries and asphalt plants.
6. Publishes updates of legislative developments relative to our industry when the General Assembly is in session.
7. Publishes a list of bid lettings, showing the name and telephone number of each contractor to whom each job will be awarded to, the county, project number of each job, and price of each job so our members can follow-up after the letting.
